Jerky Aficionados Unite

Cfre and I ended up chilling yesterday and since we were near his home turf, he suggested a spot or two that had some good ass food.

First we went to this little hole in the wall that Cfre swore had the best beef empanadas around. After a 20 minute drive worrying that the spot was gonna be closed we rolled up as they were turning off the neon sign in the window. Thankfully, they seem to know Cfre there and let us order.

When asked "How many do you think you can put down?", i was a little intimidated, but I decided to play it safe and get as many as the home team and got four.

As I was getting into the empanadas, Cfre busts some big ass sandwich out of nowhere and took that down just to get warmed up....Jesus.

Tito's Market definitely doesn't fuck around, and Cfre claims when the store isn't closing they have a selection of other fine foods like jalapeno poppers and shit.

After the empanada/sandwich-thing feeding frenzy we hit up a couple spots on a quest for cheap shoes and hats, and when he realized we were in the neighborhood, Cfre made it known that we were near "the best beef jerky spot" so we had to roll through for a taste.

This place is like the Baskin-Robbins of beef jerky with shit like Black Pepper Sweet Teriyaki, Sweet Pork Jerky and Fruit Dried Beef on the menu. The process of choosing jerky wasn't difficult at all because the dude behind the counter was more than happy to snip little pieces off of anyything we wanted to try out.

By nightfall we ended up walking away with a little over 20 bucks worth of meat, stomachs full of empanadas, a red leather Dodgers fitted (ask Cfre to show you), and a story for the ages...

Cube put it best "It was a good day".
