The waitress let us put the Dodger game on, so we had some quality entertainment before and during the feasting. Each of us got a bowl of rice and some good-ass miso soup to start.
We each picked a roll and then ordered a plate of assorted stuff and some california rolls to round it all off.
The service was pretty quick (one and a half innings) and we were on our way to sushi induced euphoria.
Moral got the Shrimp Lovers Roll
Prozak selected a Rainbow Roll
And I went with the Catepilla Roll(it was mispelled on the menu) to complete the setup.
Rather than the more widely accepted ratio of 10 parts soy sauce to 1 part wasabi, Prozak decided to go with a 1:1 ratio that resulted in what can only be described as a wasabi paste.
After he ate this bite Prozak held a stunned look and went into labored breathing for the better part of a minute before he was able to get another piece down.
After the mention of being put on the TasteBuds blog, the waitress treated us to some complimentary green tea ice cream. Nice.
All in all great service and good food gets the Sushi Gallery an A+ (temporary rating system until we get the patent for the Official TasteBuds™ rating system)
$80 well spent.
Holla!
