Our normal waitress (the one that gives attitude, but will one day be Moral's wife) didn't help us, but we got the nicest asian guy in the world to help us out. He took the drink order and brought some pickles without us even having to ask.
Moral an I ordered "the usual" which for me is a smoked turkey Canter's reuben with chips and a side of potato salad. Moral got the same with fries instead of chips. I swear no matter how many times I have one, this sandwich is always awesome.
The usual homeless guy wasn't there, instead we got some surly bum with no conversational skills. To be honest he didn't even ask us for change, he just stood there until I shook Moral and Kathleen down and kicked him the spare change they coughed up. Because this new "Canter's bum" sucks so bad there will be no photo.
Although the food was great (as usual) we came away with a feeling of emptiness. OG Canter's bum, we miss you. Wherever you are.

straight up, ANY place that brings me pickles without me having to ASK for them is OK with me. =)
sorry you were disappointed with the unentertaining bum....i mean, what ARE the bums putting out for themselves? they should get it together for the sake of the change givers....make sure we're gettin SOMETHIN for our givin. =) i highly recommend you eat at El Tepeyac Cafe in East LA on Evergreen and Ceasar Chavez across the street from a church. =)
they have a gigantic burrito called the Manuel Special that usually feeds 4 or 5 of us. there have been those known to consume the entire thing by themselves, but that's a forsaken challenge to the average joe.... =) it would be dope to TRY to eat it all though. ;)
